Professor Yang Seung-hoon of the Department of Hotel and Medical Tourism Management at Silla University said, “To strengthen the competitiveness of Buk-gu’s ecotourism products, this education actively utilizes nighttime hours. If given the opportunity in the future, we want to expand the project to include ventures such as starting resident travel agencies, training ecotourism content creators, and educating ecological interpreters.”

Professor Park Hee-jung of Silla University emphasized the uniqueness of this course, highlighting the participation of local university students for fresh intergenerational idea exchange, on-site tours by virtual foreign tourist groups, and visits to advanced ecotourism sites operated by local residents.

On October 19, Silla University signed a government-academia business agreement with the Buk-gu Office to promote regional innovation and development, pledging to jointly pursue educational cooperation projects for discovering and nurturing local talent. This training course is the first step of that project.
