Yeongsangang Regional Environmental Office Conducts Fine Dust Disaster Response Drill

The Yeongsangang River Basin Environmental Office will conduct a 'fine dust (PM2.5) disaster response drill.'


The Yeongsangang Office plans to carry out the drill on the 14th together with 17 cities and provinces nationwide and 11 related ministries.


This is to effectively respond to high concentrations of fine dust, checking each agency's emergency reduction measure response capabilities and cooperation systems.

The on-site drill includes ▲reducing operation of public workplaces (one site per city/province) ▲restricting operation of grade 5 emission vehicles (system check, no fines imposed) ▲workplace inspections (using advanced equipment), and the written drill involves ▲sending disaster text messages ▲reducing operation of thermal power plants, all conducted assuming actual situations.
