Choi Jae-sung: "Bimyeong-gye Meetings Show No Direction... All They Do Is Anti-Myung"

"Moon also had a strong support base but could not control it"

The anti-Lee Jae-myung faction (Bi Lee Jae-myung) has announced plans to form a parliamentary group called 'Principles and Common Sense' to take joint action, but former Blue House Senior Secretary for Political Affairs Choi Jae-sung pointed out that "there is no clear direction."

On the 13th, former Secretary Choi appeared on KBS Radio's 'Choi Kang Sisa' and said, "When forming a so-called political group, there must be clear content and direction," adding, "But other than being anti-Lee Jae-myung, there is nothing."

He continued, "If you look into the anti-Lee content, it is nothing more than 'I can't live because of Gaeddal (Democratic Party's hardcore supporters), fix this for sure,' or 'I don't like Representative Lee Jae-myung,'" and said, "I don't think that can create any new situation."

Regarding Democratic Party lawmaker Cho Eung-cheon's strong criticism of the party's communication structure, saying "It feels suffocating," Choi said, "What the so-called anti-Lee lawmakers raise is mainly 'I can't live because of Gaeddal,' and they consider that kind of influence as factionalism," adding, "But doing politics based on Gaeddal is, in a way, a matter of a politician's competence."

Former Secretary Choi said, "(Gaeddal) strongly expresses their own opinions, and previously, President Moon Jae-in also had so-called pro-Moon supporters," adding, "There were continuous issues raised about that, and it's similar. Representative Lee Jae-myung posted critical comments about the watermelon smashing event in front of lawmaker Kim Jong-min's office, and President Moon Jae-in did the same."

He said, "Even so, it doesn't get restrained or controlled," and pointed out, "That is the supporters' prerogative, and saying 'I can't live because of that, it's factionalism' is, in my view, not objective."
