"Customer Who Kept Promise Amid Concerns of 'Not Getting Paid'"
A self-employed business owner trusted a customer who requested to buy on credit and sent the food. Another self-employed person was worried that the customer would not repay the credit, but the customer kept the promise.
On the 10th, a post titled "A review of a customer who ordered on credit a few days ago" was uploaded to the self-employed community 'Apeunikka Sajangida' (Because It Hurts, I'm a Boss).
A, who introduced themselves as a novice boss, said they received a credit order on the 5th and posted a photo. The order request included the message, "I really want to eat this, but is it possible to pay by bank transfer on November 10? Sorry. If it's difficult, please cancel the order."
A sent the food with a message saying, "Sending it trusting you. Enjoy your meal." However, the delivery driver who came to pick up the food warned that the customer was a habitual offender. Despite this, A decided to trust the customer and agreed to forget the matter if the payment was not made.
Other self-employed people reacted negatively to the post, saying things like "You won't get that money," "You got scammed even though you knew," and "Next time, cancel firmly."
Finally, on the day the customer promised to deposit the money, A sent a message to the customer saying, "Please deposit today so I don't have to call you."
The customer deposited 25,500 won, the price of the food, into A's account and replied, "Boss, I have deposited the money. Sorry for the inconvenience."
Along with this follow-up story, A said, "I thought a lot while reading comments from experienced bosses," and added, "I feel like I have become stronger through this experience."
Other self-employed people left comments such as, "You sent the food first with trust, but you must have been worried and stressed for five days until you received the payment. I'm glad it was resolved well," and "There are people who are struggling and those who are not, but reading posts like this warms my heart."
