Imsil-gun, 35th Division Model Soldier Imsil Tour 'Positive Response'

Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, is receiving great responses for the Imsil Tour targeting exemplary soldiers of the 35th Division.

According to the county on the 10th, the Imsil Tour has been promoted three times in total from the end of last month to this month, targeting exemplary soldiers stationed in the 35th Division within the jurisdiction, focusing on major tourist attractions in Imsil-gun.

Following the tour on the 27th of last month, programs were prepared and conducted on the 10th and 22nd of this month to encourage the efforts of the 35th Division soldiers, boost their morale, and introduce representative tourist spots of Imsil-gun.

The 35th Division Army soldiers participating in the Imsil Tour visit the Cheese Theme Park in the morning, experience Imsil N Cheese and rice pizza making, then have lunch at the Fromage Restaurant located in Cheese Castle. In the afternoon, they move to Okjeongho Lake to explore Bung-eo Island by crossing the suspension bridge.

Separately, the county provides transportation buses for soldiers on leave from the 35th Division and the 6th Ammunition Depot stationed in the area, while supporting soldiers on leave with 6,000 KRW worth of Imsil Love Gift Certificates monthly, 6,000 KRW for haircuts, and 5,000 KRW vouchers for trainees at the graduation ceremony.

Additionally, various conveniences are provided, including support for Imsil Pilbong Nongak performances, beverage service at entrance and graduation ceremonies, participation in solo recruit graduation ceremonies, free use of public sports facilities, and use of youth training centers.

Moreover, an annual relocation incentive of 300,000 KRW is provided to households of soldiers transferred to the 35th Division, resulting in a population inflow effect.

Furthermore, various support policies are being implemented, such as offering a 10% discount coupon for Imsil N Cheese to families visiting the 35th Division entrance and graduation ceremonies.

Above all, the county is expanding win-win cooperation with the 35th Division by constructing a complex center with a bowling alley and rest area for soldiers near the Imsil Bus Terminal, and promoting the construction of a 200-unit military officer apartment in front of Imsil High School.

County Governor Shim Min said, “We have prepared a time for the 35th Division Army soldiers to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery of Imsil and directly explore its tourist resources through the Imsil Tour,” adding, “We hope that even after discharge, they will remember the county as a place they want to visit again.”
