The Korea Sports Hold'em Association (KSHA) has finally launched the KSHA Championship tournament in Cheongju, aimed at establishing a healthy sports hold'em culture and targeting hold'em players and fans not only in the metropolitan area but nationwide.

On the first day, the tournament's Great Opener featured a realistic internet live broadcast from the RFID table, with KSHA President Kim Ji-woon and YouTuber Yuraeun from Yuraeun Hold'em TV forming a duo to provide commentary aligned with hold'em rules and the tournament progress. The live broadcast continued until after 8 a.m. the next day, offering a great gift to many hold'em fans eager to properly watch the hold'em matches.

Besides the Great Opener live broadcast on the Korea Sports Hold'em Association's YouTube channel, the association prepared various attractions to satisfy domestic hold'em fans who came to the venue. They invited internationally renowned players holding WSOP bracelet titles from Manila and the Philippines, providing an opportunity to watch their skills up close and enjoy hold'em together. Meanwhile, addressing one of the biggest challenges in hold'em tournaments?prize money payment?the association completely dispelled concerns and anxieties by ensuring next-day payments, thereby quelling controversies over hold'em gambling tendencies. At the same time, this move sounded a warning to many large companies, similar associations, and organizations that focus solely on making money without a proper system.

President Kim Ji-woon worked hard to develop a transparent and fair system that allows participation in hold'em tournaments beyond simply competing and winning. The entire process?from entering the tournament with electronic tickets to awarding winners with electronic tickets?is recorded on a server, preventing any unfortunate incidents and making transaction histories easy and convenient to recognize. This helps prevent gambling and addiction, contributing to the formation of healthy sportsmanship, Kim said in his self-assessment.

In response to the association's efforts, several sponsors provided many goods, not just aiming for simple participation in the tournament but offering commemorative gifts such as tax benefits and feminine hygiene products to help families facing difficult economic situations, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a bountiful feast, an association official said. Also, to establish a proper hold'em culture, Sinsang Plastic Surgery provided electronic tickets to participants who met certain conditions, giving fans from Busan and nationwide who want to participate in a proper hold'em tournament a joy akin to receiving Christmas presents.

The tournament continues until Sunday and is open to everyone who wants to participate in a healthy and proper hold'em tournament. The association president expressed a modest hope that as many people as possible will participate to accelerate the establishment of a healthy hold'em culture.
