Applications accepted until November 24... Submit photos or experience stories of Gwanak-gu traditional markets and (alley-type) shopping districts... A contest open to all residents to raise awareness of Gwanak-gu traditional markets
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is holding a special contest with residents and is making every effort to promote the revitalization of traditional markets.
The district will hold the "Traditional Market Online Contest" until November 24. This contest aims to attract residents' interest and visits to traditional markets, and anyone residing in Korea, including foreigners, can participate.
The contest categories are divided into two: "Photography" and "Blog." Residents who wish to participate can submit photos taken directly at Gwanak-gu traditional markets and (alley-type) shopping districts or blog posts about their experiences.
The district hopes this contest will serve as an opportunity to lead residents to visit Gwanak-gu traditional markets and (alley-type) shopping districts.
The district plans to select a total of 134 winners by comprehensively evaluating ▲the promotional effectiveness of Gwanak-gu traditional markets ▲the originality of the expression of traditional markets ▲the aesthetic quality of the works ▲and the relevance to the contest theme. The winning works will later be used for promoting Gwanak-gu traditional markets.
Also, the prize money will be awarded in the form of rechargeable card-type Onnuri gift certificates according to the contest's purpose of revitalizing traditional markets: ▲4 Grand Prize winners (200,000 KRW each) ▲10 Excellence Prize winners (150,000 KRW each) ▲60 Merit Prize winners (50,000 KRW each) ▲60 Encouragement Prize winners (10,000 KRW each).
