The Gyeonggi Rural Convergence Industry Support Center will open an 'Antenna Shop' at the Yangpyeong eco-friendly local food store on the 13th.
An Antenna Shop is a type of test market designed to understand consumer reactions to products and develop market-friendly products.
Gyeonggi Province currently operates Antenna Shops, including the online mall (Beyond Farm), in five locations: Goyang, Seongnam, Dongtan, Gimpo, and Gwangju.
The Antenna Shop displays and sells 165 agricultural specialty products produced by 16 farms engaged in rural convergence industries within the province.
Main products sold include rice noodles, fermented sauces, juices, oils, grains, honey, and teas.
To commemorate the opening of the Yangpyeong Antenna Shop, Gyeonggi Province will hold an event starting on the 13th where the first 50 customers who purchase certified 6th industry products worth 20,000 won or more will receive a 6th industry shopping bag.
Ahn Young-eun, director of the Gyeonggi Rural Convergence Industry Support Center, stated, "We will continue to support securing distribution channels for excellent food products produced by rural convergence industry farms in the province."
