Love in Action is a volunteer program that Korea MSD has been running for 15 years since 2008. To mark the 15th anniversary this year, Korea MSD plans to expand and revamp Love in Action.

The second week of this month was designated as ‘Love in Action Week’ to expand the existing small group club activities and add new programs to encourage more employees to participate voluntarily. Approximately 120 Korea MSD employees who applied to participate in Love in Action this year are expected to contribute about 320 hours of volunteer work over four days.

Participating employees will engage in volunteer activities such as delivering food and beverages to low-income elderly living alone through Mapo Food Market and visiting child welfare institutions like Myeongjin Wildflower Love Village. In particular, this year, many employees joined the ‘Hangang Guardians’ activities, focusing on ‘sustainable environment,’ the area of greatest interest among employees, including plogging in Yeouido Park and restoration of old trees in Saetgang Park.

Albert Kim, CEO of Korea MSD, said, “It is truly meaningful that employees have voluntarily practiced love for local communities in need over such a long period of 15 years. We will continue to thoughtfully consider and actively fulfill our corporate social roles and responsibilities through more diverse approaches.”
