"Expansion of One-Stop Platform for New Technology Demand-Based Business Support"
Dong-Eui University (President Han Su-hwan) LINC 3.0 Project Group (Director Lee Im-geon) is currently conducting a networking project by attracting more than 100 paid family companies.
Dong-Eui University is carrying out various corporate support programs together with family companies, including technology transfer, joint technology development projects, support for outstanding talents, and linkage with national projects. They assign specialized faculty mentors by industry to provide support and feedback services that respond to corporate demands.
An awards ceremony for outstanding industry-academic cooperation companies is being held at the Dong-Eui University Industry-Academic Cooperation Festival. Dong-Eui University hosts the Industry-Academic Cooperation Festival to foster networking and technology exchange with companies.
Director Lee Im-geon of the project group said, “Through the Family Company Cooperation Center, which is dedicated to managing family companies and corporate support tasks, we support the discovery of new paid family companies, pool management, administrative and financial operation support, matching corporate needs, and feedback.”
Kim Chang-bong, CEO of Geosona Co., Ltd., which joined as a paid family company, introduced, “By joining Dong-Eui University’s paid family company program, we receive various benefits including support for technical difficulties, utilization of shared equipment, employee training, commercialization support, and industry-academia council support.” He added that they are creating industry-academia cooperation achievements together as mid- to long-term corporate partners who need each other.
Dong-Eui University also explained that it is promoting paid and free employee training in new industry fields for local companies. In the first half of this year, they operated 24 short-term online courses on new technology fields such as Metaverse, AI, Big Data, GPT, AIoT, AR, and VR for companies in the Busan area.
In the second half of this year, they are operating 98 online courses in 7 tracks?AIoT, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Factory, Life Healthcare, XR Content, Big Data, Mobility & Energy?for companies in the Southeast region, structured into basic, applied, and advanced courses to promote knowledge sharing and usability enhancement for employees.
Along with this, for companies in the super metropolitan area, they support the enhancement of employees’ capabilities in new technology and new industry fields through about 50 online courses on topics such as SNS marketing, AI, Big Data, and Metaverse.
The LINC 3.0 Project Group at Dong-Eui University is operating 98 online courses for employees of companies in the southeastern region in the second half of this year.
Dong-Eui University holds an Industry-Academia Cooperation Festival to foster networks and technology exchange with companies. At the ‘2022 Industry-Academia Cooperation Festival’ held last February, an awards ceremony was conducted for outstanding industry-academia cooperation companies.
Trust Ad was selected as an excellent company participating in field training, Stars Co., Ltd. as an excellent family company, Grunge Factory Co., Ltd. and K&N Co., Ltd. as excellent R&D companies, and Sein Patent Law Office was chosen for contributions to industry-academia cooperation. MPlace, which became the first startup club to become a subsidiary of Dong-Eui University’s technology holding company, was selected as an excellent startup club and received the president’s award.
Dong-Eui University plans to hold the ‘2023 Dong-Eui University Industry-Academia Cooperation Festival’ early next year, featuring sharing of outstanding industry-academia cooperation achievements, presentations of joint industry-academia technology development project results, presentations of excellent cases in technical difficulty support projects, technology transfer agreements, exhibitions of excellent technologies and prototypes, corporate technology matching, and networking exchanges with technology holding company subsidiaries.
Lee Im-geon, director of Dong-Eui University LINC 3.0 Project Group, said, “The Industry-Academia Cooperation Festival is the result of an innovative project based on Dong-Eui University’s industry-academia cooperation vision and a venue for organic communication and cooperation to seek new industry-academia goals and future strategies.” He added, “It is a good opportunity for various industry-academia cooperation entities such as local companies, research institutes, and organizations to redefine their roles to enhance sustainable win-win innovation and competitiveness.”
He also emphasized, “Dong-Eui University operates a one-stop corporate support platform that efficiently produces results by connecting corporate demands through input-process-output-performance-feedback processes via integrated and systematized corporate support functions. Through innovators, who are specialized personnel in laboratory startups, the university also systematically supports technology commercialization consulting and startup consulting.”
