The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 9th that it has established a special pest control plan to prevent the spread of bedbugs, which have recently become a problem, including the formation of a pest control response team.
This pest control plan was prepared to prevent the spread of bedbugs and to promote the health of students and staff by taking immediate pest control measures whenever bedbugs are found in schools.
The main points include ▲establishing a special pest control request procedure for schools where bedbugs occur ▲building a One STOP system within the Office of Education from selecting companies to immediate pest control measures ▲classifying schools with dormitories as special interest targets and establishing a close communication system ▲forming a pest control response team to prevent the spread of bedbugs.
In addition, to ensure rapid and efficient prevention of bedbug spread, a close cooperative system will be formed with professional pest control companies to carry out continuous pest control measures for complete eradication.
Superintendent Lee Jeong-seon said, “We will do our best to focus all efforts on responding to prevent the spread of bedbugs so that students can study in a safe and comfortable environment.”
