According to JTBC's 'Case Manager' on the 7th, storyteller A was waiting to receive three bags of rice directly farmed by an acquaintance in the countryside when the doorbell rang, and A opened the front door. Upon opening the door, the rice bags were found thrown around on the stairs instead of being placed in front of the entrance. Additionally, when A opened the door, the delivery worker was already going down the stairs and reportedly expressed dissatisfaction by saying, "The stairs are f***ing high."

A expressed regret about ordering heavy deliveries to a building without an elevator but said, "As the recipient, being treated like this is upsetting."

Lawyer Yang Ji-yeol, who heard the story, said, "It's more the company's fault than the delivery worker's," adding, "There are often disputes because of heavy deliveries."

Lawyer Yang said, "It would be better if the packages were sorted more carefully. Delivery workers are busy and need to move quickly. In that situation, it's understandable that the worker would be angry from their perspective," but added, "However, taking out frustration on the customer is wrong."

Professor Oh Yoon-sung of Soonchunhyang University's Department of Police Administration also said, "Not having an elevator is not really the fault of someone living on the fourth floor. Living in a building without an elevator will always cause such issues," adding, "I understand the delivery worker. The important thing is that since this person is providing a service, using profanity in front of the homeowner can make them feel quite uneasy."

He continued, "Since the delivery worker went through the trouble, if they had just stacked the packages and left, wouldn't both parties have felt better?" He advised, "One idea is for the homeowner to stand outside with a drink. If they express gratitude, even if the delivery worker is upset, it might be difficult for them to express it negatively."

Lawyer Baek Seong-moon said, "If the delivery worker found it too heavy to carry, it would have been better to contact the recipient first and negotiate." He added, "Whether meeting halfway or leaving it on the first floor, they should have tried other methods. If the recipient had irritably insisted on carrying it upstairs, I would side with the delivery worker, but since that was not the case, I don't think the customer is at fault."

As the story spread, netizens engaged in a lively debate. Comments included, "We can't just blame the delivery worker," "Shouldn't the delivery worker be paid more?" and "Was it really necessary to throw the bags of rice?" among various reactions.
