Kim Jung-woo, who received the Excellence Award, said, “Receiving an award despite insufficient preparation became an even more valuable experience. Thanks to the systematic practical training from our advising professor at the electric vehicle department’s designated practical training center for the industrial engineer practical exam, and participating in the high-tech major club activities, I was able to achieve this result.”
Professor Lee Jong-ho, advisor of the Department of Electric Vehicles, said, “I am grateful to all the students of the Department of Electric Vehicles who devoted themselves to their studies despite the difficult learning environment after COVID-19. Especially, I congratulate the two students who participated in the competition and won awards despite their busy academic schedules.”
Established in 1995, the Department of Electric Vehicles at Dong-Eui Institute of Technology has trained over 5,000 professionals in the automotive field to date.
The department actively carries out various human resource development projects such as the Ministry of Employment and Labor’s ‘Work-Study Dual System for Enrolled Students,’ the ‘Cheonghaejin University Project,’ the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy’s ‘Future Automotive Field Workforce Development Project,’ and Busan City’s ‘BB21+ Eco-friendly Automotive Workforce Development Project.’
