Interest in Naver is growing in the Middle East region.

On the 9th, Naver announced that on the 8th, a delegation of about 10 people, including Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), visited Naver 1784. The UAE Minister of Economy and his delegation visited 1784 to discuss the possibility of applying Naver's advanced technologies such as digital twin, robotics, sovereign cloud, and generative AI for the UAE's digital transformation.

At Naver, Chae Seon-ju, Head of External and ESG Policy, Seok Sang-ok, CEO of Naver Labs, and Kim Yoo-won, CEO of Naver Cloud, attended. This is the sixth time that key UAE officials have interacted with Naver.

Following the visit of the UAE Ambassador to Korea to 1784 in March this year, in June, a high-level royal delegation including Sheikh Saud Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Prince of Sharjah Emirate, also visited. The visit of the Sharjah royal high-level delegation to 1784 was arranged to explore cooperation possibilities with Korea regarding Sharjah’s national-level digital innovation and infrastructure development initiatives. In particular, Sheikh Saud is also the head of the Sharjah Digital Authority (SDA), which oversees the construction of Sharjah’s digital infrastructure.

Recently, in September, the CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), Kalpan Belhoul, and others visited 1784. The Dubai Future Foundation aims to make Dubai a leading city of the future and a center of innovation and technology, showing great interest in adopting advanced technologies such as AI and robotics. They directly experienced the advanced technologies applied at 1784 and exchanged opinions on cooperation plans with Naver.

Meanwhile, Naver recently won a project from the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing to build a digital twin platform for five cities including Riyadh.
