Geochang-gun Participates in the '2023 Korea International Elevator Expo'

Establishing a Foundation for International Market Entry

Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, will participate in the "2023 Korea International Elevator Expo" held at KINTEX in Ilsan, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, from the 8th to the 10th, for three days to promote the Geochang Elevator Valley and to help local elevator companies explore overseas markets.

Hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Korea International Elevator Expo (ILEK) is celebrating its 7th edition this year and is the largest elevator event in Korea, with about 100 domestic and international elevator companies participating.

Geochang-gun participated in the '2023 Korea International Elevator Expo'.

At this expo, Geochang-gun will participate as Geochang Elevator Valley along with nine elevator companies that are members of the Elevator Valley Corporate Council, including Korea Elevator University, Gyeongnam Technopark, Bastec & Aurora Elevator, Geumsan Industrial, GS Parking, Geumgang Engineering, K&G Elevator, Korea Eltech, Hwashin Enterprise, Modern Elevator, and Hansol Elevator, operating a promotional booth.

The promotional booth will showcase Geochang Elevator Valley, the only elevator industry industry-academia cooperation district (cluster) in Korea, along with an exhibition of elevator cases and parts produced by local elevator companies. Admission counseling for Korea Elevator University will also be provided.

County Governor Goo In-mo said, "This Korea International Elevator Expo is a great opportunity to showcase the excellent products and technologies of Geochang Elevator Valley companies," adding, "It will serve as a foundation for local companies to enter the international market in the future."

Meanwhile, Geochang-gun is preparing to complete the Elevator Industry Complex Hall by the end of this year, and from the first half of next year, it plans to implement statutory elevator education such as job training in elevator manufacturing and maintenance fields, solidifying its position as an elevator education city.
