In a joint statement following a two-day meeting held in Tokyo, Japan, the G7 foreign ministers condemned Hamas's terrorist attacks on Israel and conveyed this stance.
They expressed support for a "humanitarian ceasefire" to provide humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, which is under attack by Israel. They also shared the view that the so-called "two-state solution," in which Israel and Palestine coexist as independent states, is the only path to lasting peace in the Middle East.
Furthermore, they strongly condemned North Korea's illegal expansion of its weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile programs, and urged North Korea and Russia to immediately halt arms trading activities.
