Integrated Coordination Training for Large-Scale Fire Response in Multi-Density Facilities
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, conducted a Safety Korea Drill to prepare for large-scale fires in densely populated facilities on the 1st at Yeongdeok National Sports Center, in collaboration with Yeongdeok Fire Station, Yeongdeok Police Station, the Health Center, and military units.
In this drill, over 180 employees from 10 organizations and groups participated, focusing on scenarios such as ▲ disseminating information about large fires and evacuating and guiding visitors and staff ▲ requesting support from emergency rescue agencies and rescuing people ▲ triaging patients, providing first aid, and transporting them ▲ strengthening the integrated support headquarters for emergency rescue agency support.
Notably, this drill introduced an integrated linkage method that connects the disaster site and Yeongdeok-gun Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in real time using the Disaster Safety Communication Network (PS-LTE), following the guidelines of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, thereby enhancing the system and substance of the drill.
County Governor Kim Gwang-yeol commented, “This drill established a communication system with related agencies and strengthened its substance, serving as an opportunity to elevate disaster response capabilities to the next level.”
Yeongdeok-gun has been recognized for its disaster response achievements, including receiving the grand prize in the ‘Gyeongbuk Province Disaster Response Safety Korea Drill Evaluation’ last December.
