Students participating in Gyeonggi Irum University under the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education are taking a commemorative photo.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education will open and operate 374 courses for the second semester 'Irum University' until the 16th of next month.
Gyeonggi Irum University is a form of shared school program where middle and high school students, as well as out-of-school youth, explore career paths and improve academic skills at local universities and specialized institutions.
This semester, general and short-term courses will be offered at 59 universities and 5 specialized institutions including the Judicial Research and Training Institute, with about 8,600 youths participating.
The courses include 151 visit-type, 29 hub-type, and 194 online-type classes, organized across various fields such as medicine, information and communication, and business administration.
This year, 11 pilot courses will also be operated targeting out-of-school youth of the same age as 3rd-year middle school students to explore career paths before entering high school.
