Fifteen teams from eight towns and townships in the district participated in the health exercise contest, showcasing the enthusiasm and talent of the elderly as they competed against each other.

The participants gathered at night for three months starting in August to learn and practice health exercises for this competition. Notably, this was the first year that all eight towns and townships participated together in the exercise contest, making the Apple Festival even more brilliant.

Additionally, cheering squads composed of residents used various cheering tools and methods to energize the competing teams, demonstrating unity and making the event even more meaningful.

All participating teams received awards, with the top prize, the Euddeum Award, going to the Senior Gold Team from Wolmak-ri, Cheongsong-eup, who showed coordinated rhythmic movements despite their advanced age. The Health Awards were given to three teams: Hyeonseo Dimple Apple Team, Juwangsan Apple Energetic Team, and Hyeondong Kkokji Apple Team. The Popularity Award went to the Cheongsong and Bunam Aori Team and the Super Apple Team, while the remaining six teams received the Harmony Award.

Especially noteworthy was the oldest participant award given to Mr. Sinseon, an elder from Geumgok 1-ri, Cheongsong-eup, who, at 91 years old, practiced and participated without missing a single session. Additionally, 17 family teams, including couples, mothers and daughters, and sisters, received the Harmonious Family Award separately.

County Governor Yoon Kyung-hee expressed, “I sincerely thank all the residents who worked together with one heart for the health exercise contest,” and added, “We plan to promote various health programs for the health of our citizens, so I hope many will participate and enjoy a vibrant daily life.”
