Turkish and Vietnamese Medical Staff Visit Daewoong Nabota Factory... Conduct Training Program

Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on the 7th that it held the global physician education program for the botulinum toxin (BTX) product 'Nabota,' called 'Nabota Master Class 2023,' at its headquarters in Samseong-dong and the Nabota manufacturing plant.

Now in its ninth year, the Nabota Master Class is a global education program that invites medical professionals from countries where Nabota has been launched or is being prepared to Korea to share the latest procedures and clinical results using Nabota, as well as tour the Nabota production facility. It is regularly held every spring and fall.

This event was conducted for about 20 dermatologists and plastic surgeons from Turkey and Vietnam. A Daewoong Pharmaceutical official explained, "Turkey has cosmetic surgery medical professionals who have influence throughout Europe, and the Nabota business is accelerating with more than 50% growth compared to the previous year. Vietnam is expected to have an economic growth rate of over 6% for the next two years, so the cosmetic surgery market and the growth rate of botulinum toxin are expected to gradually increase, which will position it as an important market in Southeast Asia."

The course consisted of ▲advanced education on differentiated toxin procedures developed by Korean medical professionals and Daewoong Pharmaceutical based on scientific evidence using Nabota ▲premium education including live demonstrations within clinics. Time was also allocated for mutual sharing and communication of procedure cases among the attending overseas medical professionals.

Launched in 2014, Nabota was the first domestic toxin product to receive approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), proving the product's efficacy and safety. It recorded its highest-ever sales in the first half of this year, achieving the number one toxin sales position among domestic toxin manufacturers. Globally, it has obtained approvals in 66 countries including the U.S., Europe, and Canada, and has established partnerships with over 80 countries.
