This product will be sold through reservation purchases on the membership application (app) Pocket CU every day at 12 PM until the 28th, with a limited quantity of 100 units per day on a first-come, first-served basis. The product price is 10,000 KRW, which means that considering the Manggeureojin Gom planner price (9,000 KRW), the strawberry sandwich can be purchased for only 1,000 KRW.

Last year, CU also sold a calendar featuring the popular character Kkotka along with a strawberry sandwich on Pocket CU in November, limited to 100 units per day, and it was sold out.

The 2024 Manggeureojin Gom planner is a hardcover measuring 17.5 cm in width and 12.5 cm in height, consisting of a total of 126 pages with two sheets each for weekly and monthly layouts, and 44 blank pages featuring the Manggeureojin Gom character.

This planner can only be purchased as a set product within the Pocket CU app online, and the planner alone can be purchased only at the Manggeureojin Gom offline popup store located in the Hongdae Kakao Friends offline store until the 14th of next month.

The newly released milk cream strawberry sandwich is topped with two types of cream, milk cream and custard cream, which have never been combined before, allowing customers to enjoy the refreshing taste of strawberry pulp and the sweetness of cream simultaneously.

CU’s strawberry sandwich has ranked number one in sandwich sales every year upon release, establishing itself as a representative convenience store winter product. The year-on-year sales growth rates of the strawberry sandwich over the past three years were 27.4% in 2020, 133.6% in 2021, and 58.6% in 2022.

Additionally, CU plans to launch a differentiated product using apples, one of the seasonal winter fruits along with strawberries, called Gammi Apple (3,900 KRW) on the 8th of this month. It combines fresh domestic apples with grapefruit honey black tea flavor, preserving the original taste and texture of the fruit while adding a unique taste and aroma through a special manufacturing process, providing a novel sensory experience.

Hwang Ji-seon, head of BGF Retail’s convenience food team, said, “We released a differentiated product by combining the Manggeureojin Gom planner, famous among MZ generation customers for ‘diary decorating,’ with the strawberry sandwich. We will continue to introduce collaboration products that add trendy sensibilities to CU’s excellent product competitiveness to customers.”
