Orion Launches Two High-Protein Snacks, 'Dr. You Protein Chips'

Orion announced on the 7th that it has launched two types of high-protein snacks, ‘Dr.You Protein Chips’.

Dr.You Protein Chips contain 12g of plant-based protein, equivalent to two eggs, the highest amount among domestic snack products made primarily from soybeans. Using Orion's unique special processing method, the protein content is increased while achieving a crispy and light texture. The price per unit weight is also 50% cheaper compared to the average of existing protein snack products. The two flavors introduced are ‘Butter Grilled Squid Flavor,’ which combines buttery aroma with savory squid taste, and ‘Chili Salsa Flavor,’ which adds spicy chili.

Orion developed protein snacks following the recent ‘protein trend’ in the food industry and the increase in consumers who consider taste, nutrition, and cost-effectiveness when choosing snacks, in addition to existing bars, drinks, and powders. Dr.You, celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, has established itself as a leading domestic food brand by offering differentiated products under the concept of ‘delicious health,’ with cumulative sales up to October this year increasing by 19% compared to the same period last year.
