The donated funds will be used for Jeonnam Province’s Happy Nest project, which repairs old houses for low-income elderly, disabled persons, and merit recipients within Jeonnam Province.

The Happy Nest project promoted by Jeonnam Province has been providing support since 2016 to improve the living environment of vulnerable residents by repairing over 150 households annually, offering up to 25 million KRW per household depending on the degree of housing deterioration. This year, repairs are being made to 175 houses.

Kim Young-rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, said, “We are grateful to the association for their generous donation despite the sluggish real estate market and poor construction industry conditions. The donation will be used to repair old houses of vulnerable residents so that the living environment of as many residents as possible can be improved.”

Established in 1985, the Korea Housing Construction Association aims to strengthen mutual cooperation among housing construction contractors, carries out government-commissioned projects, and continuously engages in social contribution activities such as supporting social welfare facilities, repairing old houses, and donating relief funds for disasters such as heavy rain and typhoons.
