Recently, with support from the HD Hyundai 1% Sharing Foundation, the facility developed and distributed recipes that allow people with disabilities to safely cook alone using a microwave. It also operates cooking activity programs for people with developmental disabilities, providing various supports for their independent and happy lives.

The facility is also leading socio-economic vocational rehabilitation projects by providing customized education to help people with disabilities acquire skills and improve interpersonal relationships to maintain employment.

In 2021, seven people with developmental disabilities succeeded in gaining employment, and due to the facility’s active follow-up management, they have maintained their jobs. This case won the grand prize at the “Excellent Case Contest for Employment Transition Support for Workers with Disabilities.”

The Shilla Vocational Rehabilitation Facility and Shilla University’s Department of Social Welfare are spreading the achievements of industry-academic cooperation in people-centered social welfare practice and exemplary development of disability welfare in the local community to enhance professional social welfare capabilities in disability vocational rehabilitation.
