The Private School Teachers' Pension Service (hereinafter referred to as PSTPS) announced on the 6th the appointment of Jeon Beom-sik as the new Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Jeon’s term is two years, during which he will be responsible for establishing investment strategies and overseeing the operation and management of financial assets totaling 22 trillion won (as of the end of September).
The new CIO Jeon joined PSTPS in 1991, gaining experience in the Bond Management Team, Investment Analysis Team, and Alternative Investment Team. After leaving PSTPS in 2012, he served as Head of Investment Banking at Hyundai Securities, Head of PI Division at SK Securities, and CEO of the Alternative Investment Business Unit.
PSTPS stated, “We expect the new CIO’s extensive financial market experience and deep understanding of the fund’s asset management to contribute to enhancing the stability of the PSTPS fund.”
