Kim Gilsu (36), a suspect in a special robbery case who escaped through a bathroom while hospitalized, has been on the run for over 50 hours. The last place Kim Gilsu was spotted was at the Seoul Express Bus Terminal, and there is also a possibility that he fled to a provincial area.

According to the police and correctional authorities on the 6th, Kim Gilsu was found around 9 p.m. on the 4th at the Seoul Express Bus Terminal Station in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. However, it is not yet known whether Kim Gilsu took a bus to a provincial area or is still staying in Seoul. Kim Gilsu escaped from a hospital in Dongan-gu, Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do, around 6:30 a.m. on the 4th. He was hospitalized after swallowing the handle of a plastic spoon while in Seoul Detention Center.

Immediately after escaping, Kim Gilsu took a taxi to Uijeongbu. During this process, it is reported that a female acquaintance in her 30s paid the taxi fare and helped Kim Gilsu escape.

Around 11 a.m., Kim Gilsu moved from Uijeongbu to Yangju Station and met his younger brother. He then visited a sauna near Chang-dong Station in Dobong-gu, Seoul. Around 12:30 p.m., Kim Gilsu moved to Danggogae Station in Seoul and ate noodles at a restaurant near the station.

The last place he was found was Seoul Express Bus Terminal

Kim Gilsu was spotted near Nowon Station around 4:40 p.m. and near Ttukseom Resort Station around 6:20 p.m. During this time, Kim Gilsu got a haircut and changed into a hoodie. The last place Kim Gilsu was found was at the Express Bus Terminal Station in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Kim Gilsu was arrested by the Seocho Police Station in Seoul on the 30th of last month on suspicion of special robbery. He is accused of extorting 740 million won from a victim by promising to exchange money at a cheaper rate than banks and then fleeing. Kim Gilsu was previously sentenced to six years in prison in April 2011 for special robbery and rape.

He was detained on the 1st and placed in Seoul Detention Center on the 2nd. After swallowing the spoon handle, Kim Gilsu was transferred to a hospital in Anyang-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is known that he escaped by removing his protective equipment while using the bathroom and changing into hospital staff clothes.

The police and correctional authorities have issued a wanted notice for Kim Gilsu and offered a reward of 5 million won. Kim Gilsu’s physique is approximately 175 cm tall and weighs 83 kg.
