Dobong-gu Supports Safety Inspection Costs for Changdong Donga Apartment

First Safety Inspection Cost Loan Support Agreement in Dobong-gu After Amendment of Seoul Metropolitan City Urban and Residential Environment Maintenance Ordinance... Complex Owner Consent Rate 53% Meeting Loan Support Requirements

Dobong-gu Supports Safety Inspection Costs for Changdong Donga Apartment

Dobong-gu (District Mayor Oh Eon-seok) announced that on the 1st, it signed an agreement to support safety inspection costs with Changdong Donga Apartment, marking the first such support agreement in the area, as part of efforts to revitalize reconstruction projects.

To proceed with reconstruction projects, a safety inspection is required first. However, resolving the cost issue requires fundraising from each household, which can lead to conflicts among residents during the process.

To address these issues and prevent giving up on projects due to failure to meet the target amount, the district established a loan support program in July, with Changdong Donga Apartment becoming the first case.

Going forward, the district plans to provide interest-free support for the remaining safety inspection costs beyond the apartment's own fundraising. After signing the safety inspection service contract by the end of this year, the service is scheduled to commence in January next year.

The loan support for safety inspection costs is a program that provides up to 100% of the costs interest-free once, to expedite reconstruction projects. However, it requires consent from more than 50% of the complex owners, and repayment must be made before applying for project implementation approval or within a maximum of 10 years. Changdong Donga Apartment met the application conditions for loan support with 53% resident consent.

Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, stated, “Beyond safety inspections, the district will provide administrative support to ensure the successful reconstruction of Changdong Donga Apartment,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to prepare housing policies that supply quality housing and improve the quality of life in Dobong-gu.”
