Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited Hongdae Red Road on the afternoon of the 3rd, where the ‘Mapo District Volunteer Harmony Festival’ was held.
This festival was organized to express gratitude to volunteers who have worked hard for the development of local welfare, starting from 10 a.m. with various volunteer promotion and experience booths.
Before the main ceremony, congratulatory performances by singer Namgung Ok-bun and the band Dongmulwon were held to cheer on the volunteers, greatly enhancing the festive atmosphere.
On that day, Mayor Park Gang-su attended the ceremony starting at 3:30 p.m. and presented commendations and letters of appreciation to volunteers who have devoted themselves to making Mapo better, conveying his respectful thanks.
After the ceremony, singers Viral Affair and PSY impersonator Kim Seong-in closed the festival with explosive vocal power and stage manners.
Mayor Park Gang-su said, “I sincerely thank the volunteers who have shared the pain of marginalized neighbors and worked for the development of the local community. Mapo District will also do its best to create a brighter and warmer Mapo together with you.”
