Damyang-gun became an excellent institution in the culture category through the case of "Damyang, a City Where Art Takes a Rest, 2022 Damyang Art Week!"

Damyang Art Week is an event involving various local communities from different fields such as the Cultural Foundation, Craftsmen Association, and Damyang-gun. Utilizing urban regeneration project spaces like Damju Art District, Haedong Culture and Arts Village, and Dambit Art Warehouse, it linked exhibitions, sales, experiences, and festivals as cultural and artistic activities to revitalize the old downtown and realize the ‘tourism branding of the art street’ that reveals the unique charm of Damyang.

County Governor Lee Byeong-no stated, “Taking this award as an opportunity, we will create Damyang-gun as the number one inland tourism city where both residents and tourists are happy by revitalizing the old downtown using the local cultural and artistic resources that Damyang possesses.”
