Major luxury hotels have simultaneously raised buffet prices ahead of the year-end peak season. It has been confirmed that the dinner buffet price at some hotels exceeds 200,000 KRW per person, surpassing 800,000 KRW for a family of four.
According to the industry on the 3rd, The Parkview at Shilla Hotel Seoul will increase its dinner prices to 195,000 KRW from December 1 to 20, and to 215,000 KRW from December 21 to 31. Considering that the usual weekday and weekend dinner price was 185,000 KRW, this is an increase of 10,000 KRW and 30,000 KRW respectively. Despite the price hike, Shilla Hotel reported that most weekend reservations for December at The Parkview are fully booked, and weekday reservations are also filling up quickly.
The buffet La Seine at Lotte Hotel Seoul will raise its weekday and weekend dinner prices to 190,000 KRW in December, up 10,000 KRW from before. The dinner price during the Christmas holidays from December 23 to 25 and the year-end period from December 30 to 31 is 205,000 KRW. La Seine at Lotte Hotel Seoul is also mostly fully booked for Christmas Eve on December 24 and Christmas Day on December 25.
Walkerhill Hotel & Resort has relocated The Buffet, previously operated at Grand Walkerhill, to Vista Walkerhill and raised prices accordingly. The weekday and weekend dinner price increased by 30,000 KRW from 159,000 KRW to 189,000 KRW. However, Walkerhill stated that since inflation was already factored into this pricing, there are no plans for additional price increases ahead of the year-end.
Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas and InterContinental Seoul COEX also plan to announce their increased prices around next week.
