Jung Myung-seok Commits Sexual Crimes Even in Hospital... Doctor Follower Closed the Curtain

Prosecutors Arrest Doctor in His 40s for Assisting or Aiding Sexual Crimes
Forced Victims to Sign Written Pledges and Pressured Them to Withdraw Complaints

The prosecution has requested an arrest warrant for dentist A (in his 40s) on charges of assisting JMS leader Jeong Myeong-seok's sexual assault.

On the 2nd, the Daejeon District Prosecutors' Office announced that it had requested an arrest warrant for A, a JMS follower and dentist, on charges including aiding quasi-rape. A's pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant hearing) will be held at 2 p.m. on the 3rd at the Daejeon District Court.

A is suspected of assisting or aiding the crimes committed by Leader Jeong against a German national female follower and five Korean female followers, along with two female JMS pastors, or of aiding the crimes despite knowing about them.

In particular, when B, a hospital employee and JMS follower, was sexually assaulted by Leader Jeong and became confused, A silenced her by saying, "Your husband loved you. Do not tell anyone as it is a divine secret."

It is also known that A helped cover up the crimes by drawing curtains and preventing others from seeing when Leader Jeong committed sexual crimes against B at his hospital and other places.

Last year, when Leader Jeong was at risk of being arrested, A called B to the Wolmyeongdong Training Center in Geumsan-gun, Chungnam, and coerced her to write a memorandum stating that "(Leader Jeong) did not commit sexual assault," and also pressured her. It is reported that when B filed a complaint against Leader Jeong with the police, A tried to persuade her to withdraw it.

In August, the prosecution requested arrest warrants for A and two others, but the court dismissed them, stating, "There is room for dispute regarding causality, so it is necessary to guarantee the right to defense without detention. The residence is fixed, and there is no risk of flight."

Previously, the 'second-in-command' of JMS who assisted Leader Jeong's crimes, Jeong Joeun (real name Kim Ji-seon) and Civil Affairs Director Jeong Mo (51), were recently sentenced to seven years and three years in prison respectively in the first trial.

They were arrested on charges of assisting Leader Jeong's sexual assault and molestation against Maple (29), a female follower with Hong Kong nationality, and Amy (30), an Australian national. Four female JMS executives, including Leader Jeong's personal secretary who were indicted together with them, received suspended sentences ranging from two years and six months to six months in prison with one year of probation.

Two male JMS executives who tried to conceal Leader Jeong's sexual crimes by instructing followers to change their mobile phones were indicted on charges of evidence tampering and received sentences including one year and six months in prison and one year in prison with two years probation, respectively, with punishments continuing.

Leader Jeong is currently undergoing a first trial for charges of sexually assaulting and molesting Maple and others at the Wolmyeongdong Training Center in Geumsan-gun, Chungnam, from February 2018 to September 2021.

Including a German national female follower, 20- to 30-year-old female followers have filed complaints with the police accusing Jeong of forcible molestation and quasi-forcible molestation, bringing the total number of women who have filed complaints against him for sexual assault or molestation to 21.

Jo Seong-hyun, the producer who directed the Netflix original series "I am God: People Betrayed by God," which reexamined the JMS sexual violence case, appeared on CBS Radio's "Park Jae-hong's One-on-One Match" broadcast on the 1st and said, "In Jeong Joeun's verdict, it was confirmed that there was coaching for perjury to a follower before a police investigation," adding, "Settlements were made with two victims, and the settlement amount was 300 million won each, totaling 600 million won."

He continued, "There is suspicion as to why such a large sum of 600 million won had to be paid for sexual crimes that were not even committed, and why it had to be prepared in bundles of cash."
