The Car Is a Mercedes-Benz S450 Leased by Mr. Nam
Former national fencing athlete Nam Hyun-hee (42)'s ex-lover, Jeon Cheong-jo (27), who was arrested on fraud charges, was found to have been driving a Mercedes-Benz S-Class vehicle with a replaced emblem instead of the Maybach luxury car. It was also revealed that the actual owner of the vehicle is Nam.
On the 1st, YouTuber Karakula disclosed the fact that the real owner of Jeon's Mercedes-Benz S-Class vehicle, previously known as a Maybach, is Nam through a video titled "Who Owns Jeon Cheong-jo's Maybach?" posted on the YouTube channel 'Karakula Detective Agency.'

According to the vehicle registration records, the car was released in March 2022 under the name of a leasing company called Mercedes-Benz Financial Korea. However, Karakula stated that the contract holder and actual owner of the vehicle is Nam, and there has been no change in ownership or contract to date.
Karakula also revealed that contrary to public belief, the vehicle is not a Maybach but a Mercedes-Benz. The exact model of the vehicle is the "Mercedes-Benz S450 4MATIC."
Regarding this, Karakula said, "It's a fake, not a Mercedes-Maybach. In professional terms, it's called an 'emblem tune.' Jeon told people it was a Maybach and said it was the most expensive among the Mercedes-Benz S-Class." He added, "The Mercedes dealership where the car was newly released was very close, within walking distance from Nam's fencing club. According to the dealership staff, Nam and her ex-husband came together to test drive, sign the contract, and take delivery of the vehicle."

Karakula raised the question, "Did Jeon know he was driving a fake Maybach? Or did Jeon make it into a fake Maybach?" He prefaced his statement by saying, "This is my personal opinion and speculation," and then speculated, "Nam probably took the Mercedes-Benz S-Class she bought with her ex-husband, turned it into a fake Maybach, and gave it to Jeon, asking him to buy a Bentley in return."
The Bentley Bentayga, which Jeon reportedly purchased in full cash last June and gifted to Nam, is priced at 380 million KRW, and including acquisition tax, it exceeds 400 million KRW. Jeon admitted, "It was indeed bought with the victim's money."
Meanwhile, on the 2nd, the Seoul Songpa Police Station announced that they had applied for an arrest warrant for Jeon on charges of fraud under the Specific Economic Crimes Act. So far, the police have confirmed 15 victims, with damages amounting to over 1.9 billion KRW. A police official stated, "The scale of the damage may continue to increase." On the same day, Nam's legal representative submitted a request for a confrontation investigation with Jeon to the police.
The pre-arrest interrogation (warrant hearing) for Jeon will be held on the 3rd at 2:30 PM.
