Korea Industrial Complex Corporation-Korea Institute of Design Promotion, Industrial Complex Safety Design Performance Sharing Meeting
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation (Chairman Lee Sang-hoon) announced that it held the "Industrial Complex Safety Design Performance Sharing Meeting - Creating Safe Workplaces through Service Design" on the 2nd to share this year's achievements of the "Safety Service Design Project," which is being jointly promoted with the Korea Institute of Design Promotion.
The Safety Service Design Project is a program that diagnoses and solves various safety issues such as industrial accidents and fires by developing and applying designs that consider the psychological and behavioral characteristics of workers in companies located in industrial complexes through service design methodologies.

Last year, the two organizations selected eight companies located in industrial complexes such as Yeosu, Banwol, and Changwon to establish a "safety design infrastructure," and since participating in the project, no accidents have occurred at the participating companies.
This year, eight manufacturing companies located in the Yeosu, Namdong, Gumi, Asan, Gwangju Advanced, Changwon, Daegu, and Myeongji Noksan industrial complexes were selected to promote this project. At this performance sharing meeting, the development and demonstration results of safety designs by company were presented.
The two organizations are also developing a "Digital Platform for Industrial Safety Type Diagnosis" to strengthen the autonomous safety management capabilities of companies in industrial complexes and to spread a safety culture. This project is scheduled to open in December, and a "Safety Signage Guideline" that can be used in various work environments will be distributed together to help companies in industrial complexes efficiently establish safety systems.
Lee Sang-hoon, Chairman of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, said, "It is encouraging that the Safety Service Design Project supports the establishment of a safety digital infrastructure at industrial complex company sites and that the culture of autonomous safety management is spreading among companies," adding, "We will continue to work organically with the Korea Institute of Design Promotion to create a safe industrial complex."
