NCSoft will officially launch its new title, "Throne and Liberty" (hereafter TL), on December 7. The automatic hunting feature, which was criticized during the beta test, has been removed, and the monetization model has been designed to be reasonable.
On the 2nd, NCSoft released an online showcase video for TL. TL is a new IP MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game) that NCSoft is presenting for the first time in 11 years since the 2012 title "Blade & Soul."
At the showcase, TL Camp PD An Jong-ok explained the core content, monetization structure (BM), and improvements of TL. The BM is broadly divided into ▲pass-type products (rewards given according to character growth) ▲skins and appearance items ▲marketplace ▲single items such as Amitoy and Wild Transformation Forms.
"Amitoy" is a helper that affects experience points, free currency acquisition, and item drop rates. The Wild Transformation Forms level up according to the number of collected entities and grant effects such as stamina increase.
PD An said, "Both Amitoy and Wild Transformation Forms are guaranteed products, not probability-based products," adding, "They focus on aesthetic value like skins, and there is no performance difference between non-sale and sale items obtainable in-game."

The automatic hunting system, which was criticized during the TL beta tests conducted this year in Korea and North America, has been removed. It was also explained that the static combat elements have been significantly improved in a dynamic direction.
PD An said, "I can firmly say that the removal of automatic hunting was not solely for the North American market," adding, "The time required for growth after automatic hunting has been reduced to one-tenth, and we are working on moving reserved content from the later stages to the early stages."
He also revealed the reason why NCSoft chose PC as the main platform instead of the mobile platform, which it has focused on so far.
PD An said, "We knew that relying on the ubiquity of mobile could aim for greater success, but there was a consensus among the developers not to compromise on the desired quality," adding, "The recent test was an opportunity to deeply consider what kind of PC MMORPG users want."
Regarding post-launch service plans, he stated, "We are preparing three large-scale updates annually, and the first update could be possible within 3 to 4 months after launch at the earliest."
Pre-registration for TL begins today, the day the showcase was held. NCSoft also plans to set up a booth at G-STAR, the international game exhibition opening on the 16th in Busan, to showcase TL to visitors.
PD An said, "We are preparing a stage to show major content at the upcoming G-STAR," adding, "We are well aware that there are processes to be addressed both inside and outside the game. We will face them together with everyone without avoidance."
