Former President Park Geun-hye Shares Thoughts Through JoongAng Ilbo
Former President Park Geun-hye stated that she "never once thought" that former Saenuri Party (predecessor of the People Power Party) leader Kim Moo-sung and former People Power Party lawmaker Yoo Seung-min were the figures behind the 'Jung Yoon-hoe document,' which had been identified by the initials K and Y during her administration.
According to the JoongAng Ilbo on the 2nd, Park opened up about the controversy surrounding the 'Jung Yoon-hoe secret power' during the early days of her presidency through her memoir series published on 'The JoongAng Plus.'

In 2014, allegations arose that Jung Yoon-hoe, who served as Park's chief of staff, was a secret power behind the scenes. The controversy continued after a report by Segye Ilbo claimed that Jung had used key Blue House officials as a secret network to intervene in state affairs.
However, Park denied these allegations in her memoir. According to the memoir, while Jung had once been a close aide to Park, by the time of the 2012 presidential election, they had already politically parted ways.
Park argued that the reports claiming Jung's involvement in state affairs were exaggerated rumors.
Earlier, in January 2015, another controversy arose when a note in former leader Kim Moo-sung's notebook was spotted during a National Assembly plenary session, stating, "The masterminds behind the (Jung Yoon-hoe) document scandal are K and Y. I will definitely reveal them."
At that time, amid rampant speculation about who the initials K and Y referred to, it was interpreted that K stood for Kim Moo-sung and Y for Yoo Seung-min.
