Restoration Completed for Landslide on Gogi-ro 211beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam

Restoration Completed for Landslide on Gogi-ro 211beon-gil, Bundang-gu, Seongnam The restoration of the road soil erosion on 211-gil, Gogi-ro, Bundang-gu, Seongnam-si has been completed.

A 26-meter section of road on Gogi-ro 211beon-gil, located on the boundary between Seongnam-si and Yongin-si in Gyeonggi-do, where soil erosion occurred, has been restored.

Seongnam City announced on the 2nd that the restoration of the 211beon-gil road was completed on the 31st of last month. Due to last year's record heavy rain, the Yongin-si section had the foundation under the retaining wall washed away, posing a risk of collapse, and the Seongnam-si section suffered partial soil erosion on the upper part of the riverbank embankment, causing partial road damage.

Earlier, on the 17th of last month, Seongnam City met with residents at the site to listen to their demands and conducted an emergency safety inspection of the existing retaining wall condition for three days starting from the 19th. After confirming the condition of the existing retaining wall, from the 25th to the 31st, a 26-meter-long stone cage retaining wall was urgently installed on top of the existing retaining wall.

A Seongnam City official stated, "We will continue to make greater efforts to create a safe environment for residents through more thorough inspections and patrols in areas at risk of disasters."
