Certification Ceremony Held at 'Samsung Electronics CS Academy'
Recognized for Establishing Safety and Health Management Policies and Creating a Safety-Centered Organizational Culture
Samsung Electronics Service announced on the 2nd that it has obtained the international standard 'ISO 45001' certification for the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, overseen by the Korea Standards Association under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
'ISO 45001' is an international standard for occupational health and safety management established by the International Organization for Standardization. It is awarded to companies that have a systematic management system to efficiently prevent industrial accidents and create a safe working environment.

In this evaluation, Samsung Electronics Service was recognized for its company-wide efforts to create a safe working environment, including ▲establishing and disseminating occupational health and safety policies ▲assessing and improving worker risks ▲forming a safety-centered organizational culture, thereby obtaining the certification.
Samsung Electronics Service has been striving to identify and improve potential accident factors that may occur during work in advance. They introduced two-person teams for tasks such as handling large TVs and stacking washing machines and dryers in two tiers. When working on air conditioner outdoor units, wearing safety protective gear is mandatory, and engineers must upload certification photos after wearing the gear. Engineers are also granted the 'right to stop work' to immediately halt operations and prioritize safety when recognizing hazardous situations during work. Additionally, a system restricting smartphone use while driving has been implemented to promote 'traffic accident prevention.'
Furthermore, quarterly occupational health and safety training is conducted for all employees, and annual safety training for on-site managers is held to ensure familiarity with the risks and response methods for accidents such as falls and fires. In September, 'First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training' was conducted at service centers nationwide to develop rescue skills that can ensure the safety of customers and employees.
Lee Cheol-gu, Vice President and CSO of Samsung Electronics Service, stated, "We will continue to make steady efforts to establish an occupational health and safety management system so that all employees can provide high-quality services in a safe working environment."
