Creating a Platform for Resident Consensus through Sharing Major Lunar New Year Policies and Key Issues... Reflecting Resident Opinions in Governance with an 'Icheongdeuksim (以聽得心)' Approach to Achieve Communication and Cooperation

Gwanak-gu Holds 'Mobile Gwanakcheong (聽)' to Accelerate Communication Administration

Gwanak-gu (District Mayor Park Jun-hee) is operating the ‘Mobile Gwanak Office (聽)’ to listen closely to residents' opinions by visiting them directly on-site, accelerating communication administration under the principle of ‘Icheongdeuksim (以聽得心)’?gaining hearts by listening.

Since his first inauguration in 2018, Gwanak-gu Mayor Park Jun-hee has been personally addressing residents' suggestions and complaints through the first pledge project, ‘Gwanak Office (聽).’ In the 8th local government term, with core values placed on ‘communication and cooperation’ with residents, the ‘Gwanak Office (聽)’ is held every Thursday at the district office.

Furthermore, starting November 1 in Miseong-dong, the district launched the ‘Mobile Gwanak Office (聽)’ to assist residents who find it difficult to visit the district office.

Mayor Park will visit all 21 neighborhoods directly by November 22. The schedule includes ▲sharing major district administration updates ▲awarding commendations to meritorious residents ▲holding dialogues with residents to foster communication.

A resident who participated in the Mobile Gwanak Office (聽) held in Miseong-dong said, “Because of knee pain, I have difficulty walking and it was hard to visit the district office even though I wanted to meet the mayor. I am very grateful that the mayor came directly to our neighborhood,” adding, “I hope good policies for residents will continue.”

The district plans to reflect the residents' opinions gathered through the ‘Mobile Gwanak Office (聽)’ in future district administration and continue communication and cooperative governance.

Mayor Park Jun-hee stated, “I came to listen closely to the vivid and valuable opinions of all residents,” and added, “With the attitude of Icheongdeuksim (以聽得心)?gaining hearts by listening?I will listen more attentively to residents' voices and make Gwanak a happy place for its people.”

Meanwhile, last year, the district handled 206 suggestions closely related to residents' daily lives while touring all neighborhoods under the spirit of ‘Wumunhyeondap (Our problems have answers on-site).’

In particular, as a result of continuous efforts to communicate with residents, the district received high praise in the residents' daily life-related category of the ‘2023 Government Joint Evaluation’ hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, earning the highest grade of ‘S Grade’ among autonomous districts.
