From Busan Specialties to Gangnam Hotspots... Meet Them at Shinsegae Simon Outlet

Mapo-gu Restaurant 'Asojeong' Opens in Yeoju
Manpomeonok and Igane Tteokbokki Also Open Doors

Shinsegae Simon Premium Outlets announced on the 2nd that they will strengthen their food and beverage (F&B) competitiveness by enhancing their specialty restaurant zones.

First, ‘Asojeong,’ a popular restaurant located in Mapo-gu, Seoul, will open its first outlet store at Yeoju Premium Outlets on the 4th. This restaurant, now in its third generation, offers representative dishes enjoyed by people of all ages, such as galbijjim (braised short ribs) and naengmyeon (cold noodles). With a luxurious indoor atmosphere, it provides a comfortable and relaxed dining experience, offering a different culinary pleasure from the food court, Taste Village.

Earlier, two specialty restaurant stores newly opened at Paju Premium Outlets. ‘Manpomyunok,’ which opened in September, is a restaurant with a 50-year tradition, featuring North Korean dishes such as eobokjaengban (assorted boiled fish and meat platter) and richly flavored Pyongyang naengmyeon. ‘Hwajeong by Kakushita,’ which opened in October, is a Japanese home-style cuisine restaurant reflecting the expertise of Chef Choi Hanbit, who was selected as a master on a TV program. Its signature dishes include egg flower chicken katsu, pollock roe cream udon, cordon bleu, and beef large intestine rice bowl.

Additionally, on the 31st of last month, ‘Igane Tteokbokki,’ famous as one of Busan’s top three tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) vendors, opened in the Taste Village at Siheung Premium Outlets. Now, the famous dish from Busan’s Ggangtong Market can be enjoyed at a food court in the metropolitan area outlet as well.

In June, ‘Pizzeria O,’ a Neapolitan-style authentic wood-fired pizza specialty store, opened in the Taste Village at Yeoju Premium Outlets. The store installed a wood-fired oven directly imported from Italy to faithfully reproduce the authentic taste of Naples.

Shinsegae Simon is making efforts to offer customers a diverse range of dining experiences in one place, from famous local eateries to premium restaurants operated by chefs. Considering that many family customers visit the outlets, they focus on popular dishes that satisfy people of all ages while also presenting distinctive and unique restaurants.
