Krafton Unveils G-Star 2023 Entries Including 'Dark and Darker Mobile'

Krafton will participate in the international game exhibition ‘G-STAR 2023’ held at Busan BEXCO (hereinafter BEXCO) from November 16 to 19 for the seventh consecutive year.

The theme of the Krafton booth is ‘FANS FIRST,’ where fans visiting G-STAR can be the first to experience unreleased new titles and participate in various events and programs.

At this year’s G-STAR, the strategy project ‘Dark and Darker Mobile,’ developed by Bluehole Studio, will be unveiled. Since the first half of 2023, developers with excellent capabilities from various studios within Krafton have gathered at Bluehole Studio to develop the extraction role-playing game (Extraction RPG) ‘Project AB.’ After signing a global license agreement last August, the project uses only the original name ‘Dark and Darker,’ while all other assets have been independently developed 100% by Bluehole Studio, quickly capturing the original’s atmosphere.

‘Dark and Darker Mobile’ features a fusion of the ‘survival’ aspect of the battle royale genre, the ‘exploration’ of the dungeon crawler genre, and characteristic elements of role-playing games (RPGs), successfully recreating the fun of the original. Additionally, based on Krafton’s experience in the global mobile game market, the game is optimized by applying control methods that consider the characteristics of mobile platforms and the convenience of mobile game users.

Krafton has set up a demo station where visitors can directly play ‘Dark and Darker Mobile,’ and various prizes will be offered to attendees who participate in the demo and quiz shows. A cosplay event featuring characters from ‘Dark and Darker Mobile’ will also be held daily at the booth, adding to the fans’ enjoyment.

The new PC simulation title ‘inZOI’ will also be introduced to fans for the first time. ‘inZOI’ is a life simulation game where users become gods within the game, changing everything as they wish and continuously experiencing new stories through various forms of life. Developed with Unreal Engine 5, it offers realistic experiences and high immersion. Visitors can play the game at the demo station, participate in events, and receive souvenirs.

Additionally, Krafton will operate a limited-edition goods brand ‘#100 (Shopback)’ pop-up store within the booth, utilizing Krafton’s IP. Seventeen types of goods, created in collaboration with the premium line ‘Original Sports’ of the sports brand ‘Prospecs,’ will be sold in limited quantities of 100 each. The pop-up store will open twice daily, totaling eight times during the G-STAR period.
