Ulsan Office of Education Operates 'Lower Classroom Temperature by 1.5 Degrees'... 722 Classes Participate

The Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education operated the ‘Lower Classroom Temperature by 1.5 Degrees Practice Class’ to enable students to autonomously respond to the climate crisis and practice carbon neutrality in their daily lives.

From April to October, a total of 722 classes participated in the practice classes, including 548 elementary school classes, 65 middle school classes, and 109 high school classes.

‘Lower Classroom Temperature by 1.5 Degrees’ is one of the ecological environment policies of the Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education aimed at preventing the global average temperature from rising more than 1.5℃ above pre-industrial levels.

This project aims for classes to select carbon neutrality practice tasks, carry them out for more than 100 days, and continue these habitual actions in everyday life.
