Publishers of 'Tturedeu Monde' and 'Yoting Magazine'
Delivering in-depth information through specialized magazines, contributing to industry promotion
Jeon Cheol-gyu, CEO of J&L Communications, is being awarded the Cultural Medal in recognition of his contributions to the development of magazine culture.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Magazine Association held a ceremony on the 1st to commemorate 'Magazine Day' and presented government awards. Fourteen people received awards, including one Cultural Medal, one Presidential Citation, one Prime Minister Citation, and eleven Ministerial Citations.
CEO Jeon, who received the highest honor, is the publisher of the monthly magazines Tour de Monde, Yachting Magazine, and 3D Printing Korea. He published specialized magazines that deliver in-depth knowledge and information and contributed to the promotion of related industries. He also dedicated himself to the development of the magazine industry by serving as a member of the Magazine Promotion Legislation Promotion Committee and the Periodical Advisory Committee.
The Presidential Citation goes to Seo Dong-sook, CEO of Mirae-neun Uri Son-an-e (The Future Is in Our Hands). She is the publisher of Water Resources and Environment, Korea’s first magazine specializing in water. She has shown exceptional interest in recording environmental history through publications such as Environmental New Technology and Environmental Media, and has worked toward sustainable social development. She has also organized about 100 events including seminars, festivals, marathons, and academies related to the environment.
Kang Dae-il, CEO of Food Journal, receives the Prime Minister Citation. He has been the publisher of Food Journal, which has been published continuously for the past 26 years without interruption. He has contributed not only to the development of the food industry but also to the promotion of government policies and the advancement of magazine culture.
The Ministerial Citations are awarded to Jo Kyung-yeol, CEO of Gangho Culture; Kim Jin-gu, CEO of Jeonbuk Media Culture Center; Lim Yu-su, CEO of Rainbow Plant; Lee Kwang-ho, CEO of iNewton; Lee Dong-seon, Media Advisor of the Korea Standards Association; Park Jeong-mi, CEO of Atohome; Choi Hae-hyeok, CEO of Mobility; Song Young-taek, CEO of Veto; Moon Dong-gi, CEO of Multibook; Choi Yo-seop, CEO of Procon; and Lee Seong-gon, CEO of Work Company.
