Man Armed with Gun and Bomb Found Dead at US Amusement Park: "I'm Not a Murderer"

"Could Have Resulted in Numerous Casualties"

A man in his 20s, heavily armed with multiple firearms and bombs, was found dead at an amusement park in the state of Colorado, USA.

According to CNN recently, the Garfield County Sheriff's Office in Colorado discovered the body of a 20-year-old man in the women's restroom at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park on the 28th of last month.

At the time, the man was wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet, and loaded semi-automatic rifles and semi-automatic pistols were found at the scene. Several improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were also discovered in the vehicle he had arrived in.

Investigators believe that the man, who died from a gunshot wound to the head, entered the amusement park without authorization and then took his own life. They are currently working to determine the detailed circumstances of the incident.

On the wall of the restroom where the man was found, a message was written: "I am not a murderer. I just wanted to go into the cave."

Sheriff Lou Valario said, "It is very fortunate that he did not carry out his plan," adding, "Considering the amount of weapons, ammunition, and explosive devices found, there could have been a large number of casualties."

The amusement park is located at the top of a mountain, accessible only by gondola. There are concerns that if a shooting had occurred, the response would have been difficult, potentially resulting in greater damage.

The firearms the deceased man possessed were identified as so-called "ghost guns," which lack serial numbers and are untraceable. Authorities estimate that since Colorado passed a law earlier this year raising the legal gun purchase age to 21, the 20-year-old man would not have been able to legally buy firearms.

Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is examining the man's cellphone and social media accounts.
