Lotte Department Store Hosts 'Super Beauty Week'... Up to 85% Off

The year-end period is considered the peak season for the beauty market. This is because demand for cosmetics concentrates not only for year-end gifts but also for year-end gatherings. In fact, an analysis of the past five years (2018?2022) shows that 20% of total cosmetics sales at Lotte Department Store occurred during the year-end months of November and December.


This year’s year-end is expected to see even greater demand as cosmetics sales have been growing by more than 10% due to the endemic situation.


To capture this demand, Lotte Department Store will hold ‘Super Beauty Week’ from the 2nd to the 12th. First, it has carefully selected the 11 best-selling beauty products over the past year at Lotte Department Store and will offer exclusive benefits of up to 85% off. Representative products include △ Lanc?me G?nifique Serum (75ml, 223,000 KRW), △ Est?e Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum (75ml, 225,000 KRW), △ Yves Saint Laurent Encre de Peau Cushion (14g, 107,000 KRW), △ MAC Rose Tone-Up Base (30ml, 59,000 KRW), and △ Shiseido Paranza Sun Cream (50ml, 60,000 KRW).


On the 2nd, the Lotte Department Store application (app) will offer up to 20% discount coupons on a first-come, first-served basis. When combined with all benefits, customers can purchase products at discounts ranging from 30% to 85% off the regular price.


Special holiday limited editions released for the year-end will also be showcased. Notably, Dior is launching popular items such as the ‘NEW Forever Cushion’ and ‘NEW Dior Addict Lipstick’ in limited edition cases inspired by the Tuileries Garden in Paris. SK-II is collaborating with the popular fashion brand Maison Kitsun? to release special products. Additionally, Yves Saint Laurent, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Make Up For Ever, and NARS will release holiday limited editions in early November.


For customers who find it difficult to visit offline stores, an online special exhibition has been prepared. Until the 12th, Lotte Department Store Mall will offer coupons for up to 15% off on beauty product purchases to the first 1,000 customers daily, along with additional L.Point accrual and 10% card company discounts. Until the 9th, a promotion will run where customers who purchase best-selling products such as ‘Yves Saint Laurent Encre de Peau Cushion’ and ‘Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Moisturizer’ will receive up to 20% of their purchase amount back in L.Points on a first-come, first-served basis.


Kim Ji-soo, head of Lotte Department Store’s Beauty & Accessories Division, said, “The year-end is considered the peak season for the beauty market, with global beauty brands continuously releasing limited edition products. Especially this year, as it is the first year-end after removing masks, we expect more customers to purchase cosmetics. Therefore, we have specially prepared a large-scale beauty event in November, which we have not held before.”
