Dongwon Group Appoints Kim Jae-ok as New Vice Chairman of Dongwon F&B

2024 CEO-Level Personnel Appointments Announced

Dongwon Group announced on the 31st that it will carry out executive-level personnel changes in 2024.

Dongwon Group is promoting President Kim Jae-ok, who has served as the chairman of the Dongwon Industries ESG Management Committee, to Vice Chairman and appointing him as Vice Chairman of Dongwon F&B. Vice Chairman Kim Jae-ok will be responsible for strengthening future new businesses of Dongwon F&B.

Dongwon Group also newly appointed Lee Sang-young, General Manager of the Meat Division Product Headquarters at Dongwon Home Food (Executive Director), who has led the livestock distribution business since the acquisition of Geumcheon Meat in 2015, as CEO of the Meat Division at Dongwon Home Food. The newly appointed CEO is a food business expert with experience in sales and marketing at Dongwon F&B and Dongwon Home Food, and plans to expand the meat business, which has been focused on B2B, to B2C as well.

Following the resignation of Jang Sung-hak, CEO of the Materials Business Division at Dongwon Systems, due to personal reasons, Jo Jeom-geun, CEO of the Secondary Battery Business Division at Dongwon Systems, will concurrently serve as CEO of the Materials Business Division.

A Dongwon Group official stated, “We have carried out executive-level personnel changes to foster new businesses and strengthen expertise in each business division in order to respond swiftly to the uncertain business environment.”

The effective date of the appointments is November 1.
