LifeSemantics announced on the 31st that it has signed a supply contract for the non-face-to-face medical consultation service 'DoctorCall' to enable overseas travelers to conveniently and safely use medical services, following a business agreement with the travel agency Norangpungseon to enhance customer experience value.

The signing ceremony was held on the 30th at Norangpungseon headquarters, attended by key officials from both companies, including Norangpungseon CEO Kim Jin-guk and LifeSemantics CEO Song Seung-jae.

Through this supply contract, LifeSemantics explained that travelers will now be able to receive assistance from domestic medical staff via DoctorCall's non-face-to-face medical consultation service even while abroad. Until now, if health issues occurred during overseas travel, it was difficult to receive appropriate treatment locally due to language and environmental barriers.

LifeSemantics stated that based on its experience and know-how in providing non-face-to-face medical consultation services to overseas Koreans, it will be able to offer continuous non-face-to-face services to the public. The company has been providing non-face-to-face medical consultation services for overseas Koreans since June 2020 through a regulatory sandbox project. The non-face-to-face medical consultation service for overseas travelers will also be conducted as an extension of the service for overseas Koreans through the regulatory sandbox.

The two companies plan to continuously discover business models that can create synergy starting with this contract and expand partnerships and cooperation to enhance user convenience.

Kim Jin-guk, CEO of Norangpungseon, said, "This contract was pursued as interest in safety increased after COVID-19," adding, "We expect that travelers will be able to receive safe medical services abroad through DoctorCall."

Song Seung-jae, CEO of LifeSemantics, said, "We are very pleased to collaborate with Norangpungseon, which is introducing various travel products and promotions to expand customer touchpoints," and added, "This contract is very meaningful as it establishes a foundation to care for millions of citizens traveling abroad annually based on LifeSemantics' stable operation experience of non-face-to-face medical consultation services."
