On the evening of the 30th (local time), the Israeli military issued a statement saying, "As we expand the ground offensive, we have deployed more troops to the Gaza Strip today," and added, "We will continue operations to achieve our war objectives." It also announced that Major General Yaron Finkelman, commander of the Southern Command, entered the Gaza Strip today to assess the ground combat situation.

Yoav Gallant, Israel's Minister of Defense, said, "The ground offensive is not easy," emphasizing, "The enemy resists, but the Israeli military will conduct precise and determined operations through cooperation among ground forces, the air force, and high-quality intelligence."

During the ground offensive today, the Israeli military rescued Private Ori Megidish, a female soldier who had been taken hostage by Hamas on the 7th. This marks the first time the Israeli military has rescued a hostage through an operation.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made it clear that there will be no ceasefire, stating that the ground offensive is making systematic progress.

He emphasized, "The military is cautiously and very forcefully expanding its entry into the Gaza Strip step by step, making systematic progress," and added, "There will be no ceasefire in the Gaza Strip." He continued, "Calls for a ceasefire mean that Israel should surrender to Hamas, terrorism, and barbarism," and added, "Only the Israeli military’s ground operations in the Gaza Strip and pressure on Hamas offer hope for the release of Israeli hostages."
