'2023 Busan Youth Grand Debate' Held

November 8th, 4 PM at Busan City Hotel, Youth Policy Grand Debate to Gather Diverse Opinions

Busan City (Mayor Park Hyung-jun) will hold the "2023 Busan Youth Grand Debate" at 4 p.m. on November 8th at the Busan City Hotel Convention Hall.

The "Busan Youth Grand Debate" was prepared to establish future youth policy directions through sincere conversations about life as a youth in Busan.


About 100 youths, including Lee Seong-gwon, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, university students, job seekers, and young entrepreneurs, are expected to attend the event.


This talk concert-style event will begin with a congratulatory performance by Busan youth artists (Burning Soda), followed by thematic discussions on life and dreams as youths in Busan, and conclude with a performance by Dong-A University dance club (TIPSY) wishing for the successful hosting of the Expo.


The discussion topics are ▲Dreams of self-realization ▲Dreams of securing a good job ▲Dreams of owning a home. After the thematic discussions, there will be a Q&A session with the youth audience.


In "Dreams of self-realization," participants will share stories about success and self-realization as youths in Busan.


In "Dreams of securing a good job," the criteria for a good workplace, which serves as the foundation of life, and employment strategies will be discussed.


In "Dreams of owning a home," conversations will focus on homeownership, which forms the basis for marriage and childbirth.


Any youth interested in solving youth issues can participate, and applications can be submitted online through the Youth Policy Platform by November 5th.


Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs Lee Seong-gwon stated, "We plan to continuously create diverse opportunities for youth participation in city administration," adding, "We will listen to the thoughts and concerns of youths and continue to consider the conditions and systems that can reflect these in policies."
