Prime Minister Han: "Government to Fully Respond to Prevent Further Spread of Lumpyskin Disease"

"Livestock Farmers, Please Hurry Up with Vaccinations"

Prime Minister Han Duck-soo stated on the 29th regarding the cattle infectious disease Lumpy Skin Disease occurring domestically, "The government will make every effort to prevent further spread."


At the high-level ruling party-government meeting held at the Prime Minister's official residence in Samcheong-dong on the same day, Prime Minister Han said, "The next three weeks are the most critical period for quarantine, so livestock farmers should actively cooperate by hastening vaccination," emphasizing this point.


Prime Minister Han emphasized, "Since this spring, livestock infectious diseases such as foot-and-mouth disease and African swine fever have continued to occur," adding, "As the winter season approaches, the government will maintain heightened vigilance and do its best to prevent livestock infectious diseases."

Regarding the situation of small business owners and response measures, Prime Minister Han said, "Many small business owners who were hit hard by COVID-19 have not yet recovered their previous sales levels and are facing difficulties such as the risk of closure," and added, "The government will focus on alleviating financial burdens and revitalizing domestic demand to create conditions where small business owners can work with strength as soon as possible."


On household loans, he explained, "Due to the recent recovery of the housing market, household loans, especially mortgage loans, are increasing," and added, "Under the global high-interest rate trend, interest burdens and repayment risks are expected to rise, so we will closely examine and manage both the quantity and quality of household debt."


Furthermore, Prime Minister Han said, "The Act on the Promotion of Corporate Restructuring, which supports the normalization of companies, has expired, and the additional extension of working hours for workplaces with fewer than 30 employees ended at the end of last year," requesting, "Although a bill to extend the expiration date has been submitted to the National Assembly, it has not yet passed, so I ask the ruling and opposition parties to work together to promptly pass the related bill."
