Declaration of Candidacy for Mokpo District in Next Year's General Election
"I Will Change Mokpo and Serve as a Strong Support for the Lee Jae-myung Government"
Moon Yong-jin, director of Bubu Nursing Hospital, announced on the 27th that he will run for the National Assembly election in Mokpo next April.
On the same day, Director Moon held a press conference at the Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall and emphasized, "I will dedicate the rest of my life to Mokpo, which raised me," and "I will not settle for a comfortable life but become a 'conscientious actor' for Mokpo."
In response to the question of why he wants to enter politics, his first answer was, "It is a repayment to the citizens of Mokpo. The difficulties Mokpo is facing are not the fault of the honest citizens of Mokpo," and he pointed out, "It is the responsibility of those who seek personal gain by exploiting Mokpo."

He continued, "Mokpo is currently trapped in indecisive and hesitant politics," and pointed out, "The problem is the economy, but as Mokpo's politics disappear, so does Mokpo's vitality."
Director Moon appealed, "I will work confidently as a person from Mokpo in the National Assembly and will take care to ensure that citizens suffer as little damage as possible," and asked, "Please trust me, who has achieved success in Mokpo."
He added, "I will seek the choice of the citizens of Mokpo in the 22nd National Assembly election," and said, "I will gradually report specific implementation plans for vision and policy goals during the Democratic Party primary campaign."
With Director Moon Yong-jin's declaration of candidacy on this day, 7 to 8 candidates are being mentioned in opposition to Representative Kim Won-i, who is seeking re-election.
Among those preparing to run are former National Assembly member Lee Yoon-seok, who served two terms, former Jeonnam Provincial Superintendent of Education Jang Man-chae, Chairman of the Korea Political Critics Association Bae Jong-ho, former Blue House Protocol Secretary Shin Jae-jung, and Deputy Chair of the Democratic Party Policy Committee Kim Myung-sun.
From the People Power Party, Yoon Seon-ung, director of Mokpo Saemaeul Geumgo and confirmed as the party district chairman, is expected to run, and former Justice Party candidate Yoon So-ha, who ran in the last general election, will challenge this time as an independent.
From the Progressive Party, Choi Guk-jin, co-chairman of the Mokpo City Committee, is expected to run. Along with this, the possibility of former Representative Son Hye-won, who moved her residence to Mokpo and became a 'citizen of Mokpo,' running is also being raised.
